TNT Super Series double this weekend – Dunn Tire Raceway Park on Friday, Empire Dragway on Saturday
Eliminations from Cayuga to be completed at Empire as well
WESTERN NEW YORK (May 31, 2011) The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series heads into New York state for another of its popular double headers this weekend. This time, it’s Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) on Friday June 3rd then Empire Dragway on Saturday June 4th.
DTRP’s 1/8th mile drag strip in Lancaster, NY sees plenty of TNTSS action with some of the closest finishes in the series history. Presented by Jan-Cen Motorsports, this Friday promises to bring the largest field of TNTSS cars so far this year.
Two-time IHRA Pro Modified World Champion Mike Janis of Jan-Cen Motorsports is a long-time supporter of the TNT Super Series. “We’re pleased to once again be part of the TNT series in 2011. These guys are as competitive as they come, with many using our engines,” said Mike.
Along with the TNTSS, other classes at DTRP on Friday include the Pro Mod Quick 8 and the regular bracket classes. DTRP gates open at 3pm on Friday with TNTSS qualifying set for 5pm. Visit www.dunntireraceway.com for more event info.
Then the TNTSS heads to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY. Sam LoVetro Automotive presents the only 1/4 mile stop on the US side of the TNTSS schedule. Sam has been a participant and supporter of the TNTSS since it began five years ago. “We’re just trying to give back to the series,” said Sam. “This series is run really well and the competition is what I need to be ready for national and divisional races.”
The Empire race last year is where eventual series champion, Pete Maduri Jr began his string of event wins. The Gasser Series and the regular Empire bracket classes will join the TNTSS on Saturday.
Also happening on Saturday at Empire will be completion of the Bieda's Powersports eliminations from the rain halted event at Cayuga Dragway last week.
Empire Dragway gates open at 1pm on Saturday with TNTSS qualifying set for 2:30pm. Get there early! Check out www.empiredragway.com for more details.
