FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TNT Super Series returns to Empire Dragway on September 30 to finish 2012 season

Highly competitive 10.90 series will finish the 2012 season on the racetrack!

CANFIELD, ONTARIO (September 12, 2012)  The Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series final event for 2012 was set to take place back on September 8th, but Mother Nature had other plans that day.  So the event has been re-scheduled for Sunday September 30th at Empire Dragway in Leicester, New York.

Presented by The Sister Act Band, the season-ending event for 2012 will pay $1000 to the winner plus the normal TNTSS contingency postings, round money, specialty awards, etc.

The TNTSS will also crown its sixth series Champion on the 30th.  Currently Jon (JJ) Jablonski sits at 731 points and has a commanding lead over second place Harry Phelps at 655, but Harry is not out of the chase.

According to Ted Barnes TNTSS Director, they are only going to make one attempt to get this event in.  "This is a one shot deal.  If for some reason, we can't get the race run on the 30th, or if it gets started but not finished, then the season will end and the points will fall where they may."

"Either way, this is an event you do not want to miss!" added Ted.

Gates will open on Sunday September 30th at 9:30 with qualifying at 11:00 and eliminations to follow.  Visit www.empiredragway.com for further details.

About the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):

Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stages.

The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams.  Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer's entry fees.  The yearend points fund pays the top five finishers and the Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.

The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America.  Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
